Psychologist for Trauma, Relationships & Identity
Psychodynamic Therapy for Adults
Welcome. I'm Dr. Laila AbdelSalam, a licensed clinical psychologist providing psychodynamic, trauma-informed therapy for adults in New York and New Jersey, as well as internationally. I specialize in trauma and complex PTSD, relationship and attachment difficulties, and questions of identity, belonging, and self-understanding.
I work with adults from a wide range of backgrounds, with particular experience working with BIPOC, Arab and MENA adults, immigrants, third-culture adults, and others navigating lives across cultures, countries, and communities.
My priority is building a thoughtful, non-judgmental, and collaborative therapeutic relationship grounded in curiosity, care, and trust.
